Keng Chin Chia 
Keng Chin was born in 1886. Keng Chin's father was Chia Hood Theam and his mother was Lan Neo Yeo. His paternal grandparents were Leong Chuan Chia and Chit Neo Song. He had a brother and four sisters, named Keng Tye, Siew Lian, Siew Gek, Siew Choo and Siew Lay. He was adopted by Hood Cheng Chia & Chia Hood Cheng Wife - . He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Keng Hoe, Keng Boon, Siew Hong, Siew Tin and Siew Yean. He died at the age of 89 in 1975.General Notes
Comparador of the Mercantile Bank, after his father Hood Theam and brother Keng Tye. The third child in his family but the first to survive past infancy, he was "given" to his uncle Chia Hood Cheng. In 1917 he bought and moved in to "Grasslands', a bungalow in St. Thomas Walk. He spent his later years in "Fairwinds", his holiday home in Padang Terbaka, in present-day Bedok.
