Chia Hood Theam 
Hood Theam was born in 1863. Hood Theam's father was Leong Chuan Chia and his mother was Chit Neo Song. His paternal grandparents were Kay Tuan Chia and Chia Kay Tuan Wife of. He had three brothers and a sister, named Hood Sang, Hood Cheng, Hood Teck and Watt Neo. He had a half-sister named Lim Neo. He died at the age of 75 in 1938.General Notes

Chia Hood Theam grew up in poverty; one of his childhood memories was gathering eggs of stray chickens and ducks to sell. He studied at Raffles Institution and later became Comprador of the Mercantile Bank of India, a position he passed to his son Chia Keng Tye. Around 1916 he moved his family to "Rosedale", a bungalow in Killiney Road.
Hood Theam and Lan Neo were married. They had two sons and four daughters, named Keng Chin, Keng Tye, Siew Lian, Siew Gek, Siew Choo and Siew Lay.

Siew Lian Chia
Siew Lian was born on December 6th, 1892. She died due to natural causes or old age at the age of 79 on June 20th, 1972.
Hood Theam and Pek Eng were married. They had two sons and three daughters, named Keng Hoe, Keng Boon, Siew Hong, Siew Tin and Siew Yean.
Hood Theam and Nenek Bedok were married.
