Sian Chye was born in 1908.  Sian Chye's father is Siew Kim Seow and his mother is Siew Gek Chia.  His maternal grandparents were Chia Hood Theam and Lan Neo Yeo. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Sian Hock, Sian Chee, Lily and Mary.  He died at the age of 93 in 2001.
